Introduction
Space Explorers, NASA would like your help in creating a time capsule containing a scrapbook.  While exploring several web sites, you are instructed to gather important artifacts such as historical facts, quotes, images, sound and video clips concerning space exploration during the last 100 years. You will then use these artifacts to depict  the top 10 most important historical events during the 20th century concerning the space program.

Explore the Internet sites below.  Look for facts, quotes, images, video or sound clips-anything you feel will illustrate an important historical event concerning the space program.

If you find something you like, check the web site for copyright notices.  Many times if the material is used in the classroom only, the owner won't mind if you use it.  Others don't want their material used at all.  Look for an e-mail address and with your teachers help, ask permission.

Copy text you wish to save by using the copy and paste functions of  your word processor into your word document or multimedia program.

Save images you've chosen by downloading them.  Paste or insert them into your word document or multimedia program.

Make you choices carefully.  You may only choose 10 items.  Make sure you can explain why you have chosen each one.  You should also be prepared to cut anything that the copyright owner tells you they don't want you to use.
